WHAT IS GREAT LAKES EXPRESS?
The Midwest's Regional and Feeder Virtual Airline! Great Lakes Express is a Virtual Airline (VA) which handles regional and feeder service throughout the Midwest United States and into Canada. Unlike many larger VAs, we small, focused, and only do what we do best! In operations since January 1997, we're one of the longest running VAs on the Internet, and probably the original VA that dedicated itself to regional operations.

WHERE DOES GREAT LAKES EXPRESS FLY?
Headquartered at Cleveland's Hopkins International Airport, the majority of Great Lakes Express flights will originate in the smaller regional airports throughout the Midwest, and will offer connecting service to the larger hubs in the region. GLE currently operates five hubs: Cleveland, OH (KCLE), Rochester, NY (KROC), Chicago Midway (KMDW), Minneapolis / St. Paul (KMSP), and Sault Ste. Marie (CYAM) offers flights within the Great Lakes region as well as offering connecting service to major hubs in the central and eastern United States and Canada.  For a change of pace, we also offer Charter flights for the regions NFL Football teams.

WHAT AIRCRAFT DOES GREAT LAKES EXPRESS USE?
Great Lakes Express is set up to service the smaller regional airports of the Midwest, using the shorter-range, lower capacity aircraft. From these airports, passengers will connect to the larger Midwest Hubs that are serviced by larger, transcontinental and international carriers. While our official fleet is current made up of Beechcraft 1900D, Canadair CRJ-200, Canadair CRJ-700, Embraer EMB-145, Embraer EMB-170, and DeHavilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft, pilots are free to fly whatever aircraft they would like on their GLE flights.

WHY SHOULD I JOIN GREAT LAKES EXPRESS?
For those of us with real-world commitments (jobs, family, etc.) who still want to find time to enjoy flight simulators, Great Lakes Express offers short, easy to fly routes that don't take up a huge time commitment. Almost all our flights are less than 60 minutes, with many being in the 30 to 40 minute range. We don't try to be all things to all people, just try to be the best at what we do.
