Looking for a relaxed airline, offering short flights, using regional airliners? If so, Great Lakes Express may be a perfect fit for you! Great Lakes Express allows pilots to fly any routes, using any aircraft (please be reasonable!) from day one. Flights can be done solo/offline, or using an online service like VATSIM. This is for fun, why add in complicated rules, right? Most pilots utilize Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, FSX or P3D and use the VA Financials ACARS system (which requires the freeware FSUIPC add-in) to automatically log their flights. Pilots are welcome to use other flight simulators, but submitting pilot reports (PIREPS) will have to be done manually. |
After submitting your application you will receive a email from Great Lakes Express once your application has been reviewed and approved. Your email will contain detailed instructions and an activation link which you must complete to begin flying for Great Lakes. You will be asked for a username and password for your personal pilot client which is used to track your flight (for our live map), passenger manifest and financials. Once installed you can run the VAFS client and begin your flight. Please follow all instructions carefully and enjoy your new airline. |
