Welcome to the revamped Fleet page. I am in the process of revamping this page to have it include all of the different versions of the GLE liveries.
I have included aircraft not officially
owned by Great Lakes Express. As I have stated elsewhere, you are
free to substitute reasonable aircraft on your GLE flights.
Please take note of the reasonable statement; some former GLE pilots had
taken to use larger aircraft, up to and including the Boeing 747-400
and Airbus A380 on GLE flights. This can be a concern because
revenue (passenger seats, cargo capacity, etc.) is based on the
aircraft assigned to the route, while operating costs (landing
fees, fuel burn, etc.), is based on the actual aircraft used.
If you were to use a Boeing 747-400 on a Beech 1900D flight (it has
happened!) you would be limited to carrying 19 passengers and ~ 3000 lbs
of cargo. Obviously, fuel burn costs quickly take those flights
into the red and money is lost on each and every one of those flights.
Where possible, I have listed which version of Microsoft Flight Simulator these file are meant to be used with. Your mileage may vary. Once I get my copy of Flight Simulator 9 installed I will do additional testing and update accordingly. Assume that FSX files may be used with Lockheed Martin's Prepar3d; I have tested several of the FSX models / textures with version 2.0 and 2.1 with no issues.
Items requiring a payware aircraft have been highlighted in grey.
If you know of other
GLE repaints that I do not list below, please let me know via the
Contact Us page.
